Bob is the founder of the Connecticut Baseball Academy and has been an amateur coach for over 32 years. He is also the Founder and General Manager for Team Connecticut Baseball. He was the head coach in 2015 and 2016 for the 13u National championship team and in 2018 for the 14u National Championship Team. He has also been a coach on many Top Ten teams, including National Championships in 1994, 1997, and 1999. In national championship tournament appearances, his teams have a combined record of 130-56. Bob is the primary instructor at many of the Academy’s hitting and pitching clinics as well as the vacation camps.
Presently Bob is the Head Baseball Coach at St. Thomas Moore Prep School in Oakdale, CT. Finally, Bob has been a member of the (A.B.C.A.)American Baseball Coaches Association since 1995. In 2013 the (A.B.C.A.) recognized Bob Hetu for 25 years of coaching, leadership, and devotion.
