Tommie was a two sport athlete at St. Joseph's High School in Trumbull, CT. He was the Cadets starting QB and MLB on the football team and was a starting catcher and pitched for the cadets baseball team. After high school Tommie attended Milford Academy for a post-graduate year where he served as the Falcons starting catcher and as a pitcher lead the team in wins and ERA. Tommie played his college ball at Western CT State University where he finished with a career .368 batting average. Tommie has spent the last 17 years as a full time instructor and travel baseball coach. He started his coaching career with the CT Dawgs travel baseball program serving as their 12U head coach. In 2002 Tommie was hired by the St. Louis Cardinals AA affiliate The New Haven Ravens as Director of Baseball Programs and Instruction. From 2007-2014 Tommie was the lead Instructor for Extra Innings in Agawam, MA. While at Extra Innings Tommie founded the Western Mass Storm a highly successful travel baseball program. As an instructor Tommie has had numerous students go on to successful pro and college careers. As a head coach he has lead his teams to a Ripken National Championship, 2X AAU National Championship finalist, Triple Crown World Series Finalist, and 8 Regional Tournament Championships. Tommie resides in Manchester with his wife Heather and sons TJ and Brady.
