2024 Spring try-outs!!

February 11, 2020 – East Hartford, CT - The New Britain Bees and Team Connecticut Baseball have announced their new partnership.

“To be involved with the rich tradition in New Britain is surely something that we are extremely excited about. Says Dan Kennedy TCB Director. “We will begin with our 8u/9u team that will be named the TCB FUTURE BEES. Like our older teams, that team is all about instruction, development, and making the game fun.”

Team Connecticut Baseball is a premier travel baseball club established 27 years ago in 1994 with the mission of becoming a College Development Program. This mission has come to fruition and is evident by the hundreds of TCB players who have continued not only their baseball careers, but their academic careers in the college ranks.

The 12u coordinator for TCB is Steve Curtis from South Windsor, CT. The 12u program introduces the values that has made TCB one of the premier travel baseball programs in Connecticut and New England. Curtis explains, “We do baseball, that’s what we do better than anyone. In addition to baseball, the players and families are involved with community service activities like toy drives during the holiday season that benefit kids and families less fortunate. We have bonding activities like movie nights where the players watch a movie as a team, our favorite movie is The Sandlot.”

As the Bees are preparing their roster for the 2020 season they have already inked 1 former TCB alum who is just one of the talented players TCB develops year in and year out who will be an asset to the Bees for years to come.

68 TCB players have been drafted by Major League Baseball teams. 90 TCB teams have finished with 11 top ten national finishes, including 17 National Championships won by various TCB Teams over 27 years.

“Our goal is to assure each of our players have the best opportunity both academically and athletically,” says Kennedy. “Assuring that our players have every opportunity to develop both as baseball players, and just as important, as quality young people in their community. It’s not just about baseball at TCB.”

"We hope these young players have a fun filled summer learning the game of baseball.  We also look forward to having the TCB family out to support the New Britain Bees at New Britain Stadium this summer.  It should be an exciting summer." – Brad Smith General Manager New Britain Bees.
